The Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM 2 no longer appears in Wahoo’s current UK range. This page used to argue that it beats Garmin for touring cyclists. We cannot support that claim, so it has been replaced with what we can check.
We have not ridden the ROAM 2. The old page described battery tests, rides on the North Downs and scores. None of that is backed by evidence, so it has been removed. The facts below come from Wahoo’s UK site, checked on 6 October 2026.
Current status
Wahoo’s UK bike computer page lists three current models. The ROAM 2 is not among them.
- ELEMNT ACE: £449.99, 3.8 inch colour screen, up to 30 hours of battery.
- ELEMNT ROAM 3: £399.99, 2.8 inch colour screen, up to 25 hours of battery.
- ELEMNT BOLT 3: £299.99, 2.3 inch colour screen, up to 20 hours of battery.
Prices and specs are Wahoo’s own listings and can change. Check the page before you buy.
What matters for touring
For long days and multi-day trips, battery life and route navigation are the two things to compare. On Wahoo’s own figures, the ROAM 3 lists up to 25 hours, which is more than the 17 hours this page used to quote for the ROAM 2.
We have not compared any of these against Garmin, so we will not say which is better. If you are weighing brands, read the maker’s spec sheets side by side and check recent owner reviews.
If you are buying a ROAM 2 second-hand
Check that it is still supported and that it comes with a mount and cable. We have not verified the support position for the ROAM 2, so ask Wahoo directly if it matters to you.
